its small, dirty, charges admission, sad, and is not in any way afilliated with Smithsonian. Not worth the trip, unless you want the historical aspect - it is the oldest aquarium in the US - and they have not changed a thing in all these years, including the tank water.

Don't expect much because there isn't much there. It's in the basement of a federal building and only a few exibits. Its only $5 so you can't complain. Have lunch across the street, relax for 30 mins inside the aquarium and then tour something else.

Like many of the other reviewers, DCs National Aquarium used to leave much desired. However, with their new affiliation with the Baltimore aquarium the aquarium has undergone a major makeover and is far more impressive than before.

Very small selection of marine life. Most tanks were mislabeled. And unlike the other national exhibits in DC, it cost $5 (even for my 11 year old).

Very hard to find for good reason - it is not worth the time to find. We have MUCH better aquariums located in Oklahoma.
