Where the laws are made
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/27/05
Take your family to visit this place where the laws are made for our country. If you are able to visit when congress is in session, that will be even better. Sit in on a hearing on a bill that might be of interest to your community. Watch the debates on the SEnate or House floor. But, but all means, make this a highlight of your trip.

Great Place to visit and Tour.
By lapodacatx, 09/27/05
I had a great time there and I was really impressed when it was our time to take the tour of the capitol. It is a beautiful place and our tour guide was very knoledgeable and held our attention was very loud so we could hear all he was saying. I can hardly wait to go and take my grandkids to visit there. That building has a lot of history and the Status were large. Paintings were large and held alot of history.

Knowledgable experience
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/26/05
A tour to the capital and its associated museums will give your family a sound experience for knowledge and fun acquisition. The better time to visit is summer or in the begining of autumn, when flowers are in blossom and the weather is pleasant.

The tour is great and very educational. My greatgrandmother was the first telephone operator in the Capitol and worked with 8 Presidents personally and trained everyone under her. They flew a U.S.flag over the Capitol and sent it to us in her honor as well as many others.A beautiful landmark ecspecially in Spring with all the cherry blossom trees ...

Best comparing others
By wenxiong_x, 09/24/05
I like the oppotunity visiting one of important corner stones of this country. I dislike that the area open to public is very limited. Comparing other places, this is a place that you must visit.

increasingly accessible
By the_bretbox, 09/20/05
soon after 9/11 it was almost impossible to get into the capitol, now the chief impediment is the massive construction effort taking place on the grounds. despite that, it's getting easier for tourists to view the environs. Much of the interior is astonishingly ugly. a must see.

worth to visit
By Olga K, 09/15/05
U.S. Capitol as well as Washington DC downtown is worth to visit. The good thing is it's free. Be ready to walk a lot and dont forget your camera.
