The interplay between words, thoughts and water make this quiet memorial present the meaning of FDR's presidency-- not just the fact that he was president. Well worth the visit. It's particularly beautiful at night.

I did not enjoy this memorial as much as the others, but I can't say exactly why. If you are limited on time, you may want to bypass this memorial.
I really enjoy this memorial. I find it reflective, educational, and well thought out. I have several family members that use wheelchairs and this memorial is fully accessible and the flow is not disturbed by being in one. I use of trees keeps it quite nice even on the warmest of day. I was there last on a day that topped out at about 100 and was still able to enjoy it. The content is very well laid out and informative.

FDR Memorial

This was the best monument that I went to in DC, I had the most fun looking at the numerous qoutes on the beautiful stone. The waterfalls were frozen when I went, but still just as gorgeous. I absolutely loved the way it is layed out to depict each of his terms in office. I would recommend this site for ANYONE who travels to the DC area.
