I was at this memorial last Wed night. There was no one there as I silently walked around and took several shots of this glorious scene. I have seen it during the day, but the night time is fantastic as the soft lights shine on these beautiful statues. The feeling is unreal. Play a visit...a must see at night.
Korean War Veterans Memorial pays tribute to the men and women who fought in the Korean War. Located to the right of the Lincoln Memorial, this monument features 19 tin soldiers carefully making their way through Korean terrain. There is a black granite wall next to the tin men. Clearly Well Planned

This memorial is breathtaking. Ever ingraved on my heart "Freedom is Never Free." Makes life seem simple compared to what they faced. And to think this was considered a "Police Action." Who are we kidding? Any time lives are taken, it is war.
This memorial shows real picture of war: young soldiers (look very real with guns, radios, in mud) fighting for political reasons. More touching than Vietnam War Memorial.

When I was there I met a man who had been in the unit in which the statues represent... all of ...
