Live 3 miles away and hate going to BEAUTIFUL OLD TOWN because THERE IS NOT ENOUGH PARKING.....there are, however, plenty of Meter Maids!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We like everything about Alexandria, all the history/museum and other fun things like the Torpedo Factory Art Gallery, Candi's Candies and then, there's this musician, check him out at this link... http://www.metawedgie.com/journal/2009/9/4/hes-a-glass-half-full-kinda-guy.html

So great we moved here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/08
After visiting Old Town in July, my family and I quickly abandoned plans to build a home in Maryland and buy in Old Town. We fell in love with the charm, festive atmosphere, the happy people, the shops, the fitness trails, parks, and various other amenities too many to list. Finding street parking in this densely packed enclave the evening of Friday Dec. 5th seemed miraculous, but this writer's elation was short-lived. After spending ...
If you're coming to the DC area, this is the place to come, With cool Tapas bars, clubs, and restaurants, you can't visit DC without coming here. Old Town is very upper-scale without over doing it. It may be a little expensive for some, but it is worth it.

I like the cozy quiet small town feel of Old Town. It is nice to go there to just relax and unwind. I steal away to Old Town Alexandria every chance I get.
this place is the cutest and most historic town i've been to. you have the old fire house, the church that Washington would go to and Robert E. Lee grew up. Theres a bunch of little shops and old couble roads and one of the smallest houses in America.
I love this place! As long as you stay on King street, you'll feel like Ben Franklin! I just want to wrap this town up and put it in my pocket. That's how much I dig this town.

Old Town is a quaint blast to the past! Absolutely gorgeous with a strange mix of past and present! After visiting I truly started thinking about moving there. Great crowd. Amazing shops and all so close to D.C.
