It is a nice structure. but there is nothing wow about it.

D.C. is full of National Icons. And this one is one of them. You can not miss taking this monument in if you're in DC.

The Washington Monument was more prominent than I had thought it would be. It is in many of our pictures, as you can see it from all over Washington D.C.

Buy your tickets online ahead of time for only a couple of dollars per ticket and wear comfortable clothes to wait outside, it is colder in the winter and hotter in the summer than other places at the same time and be prepared to wait at least half an hour before your ticket time to get in. Really neat place, you can see all DC from up there...good experience.

Standing at the tallest point in D.C., looking down at the historic monuments, museums, White House, The Mall and the Potomac River - awesome! If you only have half a day in D.C. and can only afford to visit a couple of the many free attractions in the city, this has to be one of the places to go. Come early to get the free timed ticket, otherwise, you will be queuing up in a long line just to get into the monument.

It was a alsome view. You get up there and it is like you are toatally walled up because you have to walk to a little window to look out. Several are up there. You are above everything Lincolin, Jeffersion, the white house, capoial, and more! You acn see the whole pegenton from up there! Best of all it is free!! Just with they would keep it open ...
