The museum is moving to a new building, so only three exhibts were still up. Not a disapointment though, prehistory to settlers, mining and city of denver exhibits were a great run through. Plus it was free because of the move.

It's a small museum but has a lot of info on the early history of Dolorado and the Denver area. Goes into the American Indian roots, mining history, family life and political history. Very informative for what it has to offer.

We want to go BACK!!

We took our Cub Scout - Tiger Cubs there. They could touch most of the objects and talk with the Actors that were portraying local historical figures.
It was a great experience and fabulous mixture of the local history. They have a 10x 10 model of Denver from the 1800.. it was fun trying to figure out where things were then and where those place would be in modern times.
But I would try to advoid free days... REALLY busy!!
