I love Green Mountain. It is a pretty simple mountain for families, a great place for picnics (on top), and the views of the Denver skyline are the best. It's perfect for mountain biking, walking the dog, or just getting some perspective on life. If you're out there for some cardio, there are some easy trails, and some challenging ones as well.
