The main attraction is the wooden roller coaster called "Cyclone". Except for a bit of a jolt just before the second hill, this coaster rides extremely well for a woody. It is definitely worth riding more than once.
My sons really enjoyed the Go-karts --- riding them multiple times.
There were two trains also which make a complete ...

A Treasure Not To Be Missed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/07
I had heard about Lakeside for years. (Lakeside is continually voted the most beautiful amusement park at night by the National Amusement Park Historical Assn). For our vacation last year, Lakeside WAS our destination! It took 4 days to get there through endless Iowa and Nebraska etc. Contrary to a previous poster on 7/19/07 the rides not are ...

Don't even think about it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/07
Lakeside is a dump, it's in a bad neighborhood, and all of the rides are about to break down. Not to mention how dirty everything is. Nobody that goes there anymore speaks English, and I'm honestly afraid that I'm going to get murdered or mugged, or something there. I've lived around Denver my whole life and I can say from ...

needs new rides and the big rides need to be open earlyer. all rides need to have a worker when they open. they should not charge for just going in
This place is like going back in time to a simpler life. My son had a blast going on rides time and time again. Contrary to rumors, I did not feel unsafe at all there. The staff is very friendly. I wish they would clean up the eating areas some. You cannot beat the prices...most rides are only $1.

A ride into the past
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/06
Lakeside is one of the oldest and most nastalgic parks in the country. The roller coaster there is my favorite and I prefer it to even the most extravagent such as the one at the New York, New York hotel and casino. There are rides at Lakeside that cant be found anywhere else and it's all infront of a beautiful lake and even has a train which ...

Great for te kids...dont overpay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/11/06
We just came back from Lakeside and the kids are still raving about it. We went there due to the reviews posted here. One mistake we made...we paid an "All Admissions" for the two adults and the two kids (ages 7 & 4). The weekends are more expensive than weekdays. We paid $16 and some change for each one. We were dissapointed ...

YOU JUST GOTTA GO!

One of the best amusment parks in America. Make sure you ride on the CYCLONE! Seems like it takes you back in time, family owned.
Lakeside is just an all around great place. It's rides aren't exactly brand new, but no matter, they're still fun. To have a great time, and to spend some time in a pleasent, relaxed, atmosphere, I would recomend Lakeside.
