I think the falls are a great way to spend a couple hrs in some beautiful scenery. Yes there are gift shops stairs and a elevator but they are as much a help as a distraction. I took the elevator and the stairs near the falls and got some very cool pics of flowing water from both. I took over 100 pics in about 2 hrs, and would like to go back with ...
I went last night. It was beautiful. I have two teenage sons that thought it was "okay". You will wait in line at least 30 minutes to get to the toll gate but it is worth it. Go around seven and then hang around for the lights to come on. It is nice to see it both ways. The drive up to it is as pretty if not more than the actual falls.

Man Comercializes this Fall
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/09
What used to be a nice Fall has been so commercialized that it wouldnt suprise me if the fall had the water pumped in . There is a railing(ladder) running right up the side of the fall . Concrete platforms around the bottom with curbs and more railing. Was very disappointed. Like going to a city park. Very sad what man thinks this is improvement.

Don't fall for this tourist trap
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/08
This is cute for kids as there is an elevator up to a view of the falls. To enter the elevator you go through a long dark cold tunnel. It is cute but not worth it for a romantic outing. Helen Hunt falls are free and are more spectacular and are in the same area. The steps at 7 falls would be good work out though...242!! And they are steep! Stay ...

Never again

I was lucky to have gotten there at a lull in traffic. The wait was long none the less as it took quite a while per car to get the whole story from the gate attendant and there is only one lane. Once inside, it was Ok, not spectaular but a nice hike anyway. The stairway will scare the pants off of anyone with fear of heights as it bounces under ...
If you have been to Niagra Falls, or anything along those lines, its a waste of time. All it is, is a waterfall that hits the rock 7 times, i was totally not impressed, and they make you pay for it. There are metal sculptures in the surrounding neighborhood that is worth checking out though.
I LOVED Seven Falls! Take your video camera so you can record the light changes on the falls! Going at night was definitely worth it. Truly a must see. WE SAW A BEAR IN THE PARKING LOT! Lots of wildlife there, so always be cautious and curteous of the wildlife that inhabit the falls and surrounding areas! Seven Falls will not let you down.

Beautiful!

Seven Falls was really pretty. But it was a little expensive for the amount of scenery you get to view. Afterward we went to Helen Hunt Falls; it was more natural looking - and free. Still, I would recommend both falls for anyone looking for some great Colorado scenery!
we went there in the evening and the driveway to parking lot sets the tone, with some lights on the hills and flowing water. You can take steps up to be near the falls if you like or you can also take the elevator to view the falls from some 200 ft distance...2 to 3 hours here would be an ideal place to start your evening...
