The locals love the place and for good reason. The Park is clean and nice with LOTS of trails for hiking and biking! Try driving up the main drive all the way till you reach Lower Gold Camp Road at a large gravel parking lot. Take this gravel mt. road a few miles and thru a couple of tunnels for a great scenic adventure! (Car safe in the summer) The MT. Bike trails were great!
The Visitor's center in No. Cheyenne Canyon Park is a nice place to stop when hiking with the family. Although small, children can enjoy comparing their hands to paw prints of animals that inhabit the area, as well as learn a bit about the flower and rock they may see along the way. You can pick up trail maps here, stop for a picnic snack, and there are restroom facilities near by.
