I like everything about this shop and have for more years than I can count. (have gone to Yosemite for over 70 years).
The merchandise is of fine quality and unusual and in keeping with the natural ambiance of the park. It is by far the best place to buy jewelry in the valley. I much prefer it to the Ahwahnee's jewelry but they sometimes ...
the gallery is a bit small, and of course all the work is super expensive, but there are other odds and ends to buy, books, kids stuff, lots of beautiful but expensive dinner sets.
for a photographer, you can find all types of film, and even diposable cameras cheaper than in the general store. they also have photo equipment, although i can imagine the cost.
I didn't go there to shop, just to view the gallery. They had a fair selection of artists and works, but I was hoping for more. This place is worth swinging into while you're in the village. Their disposal cameras are cheaper than in the Village Store.
This store is way overpriced in my opinion. Prints that you can get at the mall for $20 will cost you $50 here. They have some original Adams works on display that are for sale though I don't remember if the prices were listed.
They have a large selection of books on Ansel and Yosemite so it's a nice place to come buy some reading ...
