So InterestingWhen we inquired at the information desk about the location of the cemetary, we were given directions and offered a pamphlet with short paragraphs on all the people buried at the cemetary. Three of the people in our party found the history of the people buried here of fabulous interest. The pamphlet with the stories really MADE the self-guided tour. Ask for it!OVERALLAtmosphere

One time visit is enoughThis cemetery is located at the bottom floor of Yosemite in a beautiful area under alot of trees. There are only a handful of very old gravestones. It really does not look much like a cemetery because it is located near several buildings. This is a very historical landmark, I would recommend visiting this place at least one time.OVERALLAtmosphereValue

Loved the Yosemite Cemetery - Hated their guide.I am a Yosemite Indian and I went to visit the Yosemite Cemetery. It was beautiful to see. I went inside and bought a Yosemite Cemetery guide and the Indian part was all wrong. A lot of photos were wrong and the tribal affilation was written incorrect in the book. Lancisco Wilson was a big "Piute" written on his grave, but in the book they have poor Lancisco Wilson as a Miwok. Very sad.
