Tunnel View, Yosemite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/06
It is the single most spectacular view I have ever seen in my life. I don't believe there is any place like it on Earth.
Absolutely, positively awe inspiring. Hence the name, Inspiration Point. It took my breath away well worth it (especially if you're an artist like myself) It gets a little busy during summer, but take advantage of it. Warning, the weather is unpredictable at that alitiude, so carry at least a jacket, chains (for your car) and an umbrella.
its absolutly beautiful. i would love to see it in the winter too.. you can see el cap, half dome, and bridalveil all in one picture perfect place. the drive up from the valley is quick, and its even more amazing coming from the other side of hte tunnel.
This is absolutely a must-see. We saw this after being down in the valley and seeing Bridalveil and El Capitan from the ground. In this order, we saw each one up close and then all together from afar. There's a convenient turnaround on the non-spectacular, west side of the tunnel - useful for when you come from the east and only want to see the view but still want the excitement of going through the tunnel.

Simply breathtaking!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/05
The tunnel view is simply breathtaking. Especially if you enter the park from the South entrance... you go through a tunnel... and this is your first view of the mightly Yosemite. Absolutely stunning. I only wish they make it easier for people to pull over and soak the view in. They do have a vista point with some parking, but on weekends, this place gets very crowded and a bit chaotic.
