  • Wonderful place!
    By willow, 06/12/06
I have visited the Indian Village off and on for 30 years and it's a fantastic place to learn about the original inhabitants of Yosemite.

I learned to weave traditional-style baskets from the head of the Indian Interpretive Program, Julia Parker, and she is always wonderful to all visitors and ready with a smile. She is Kashia Pomo and ...

  • Excellent review of the tribal center.

A visitor to this exceptional place must be ready to learn of the natural and traditional ways of the original Yosemite inhabitants. The baskets are all marked Miwuk/Paiute!

The baskets were all mainly made by Paiutes and Yukuts, not Miwuks.

I thought the basket maker named Summerfield was rude to the general public and children.

She needs a lesson in manors AND inter personal communocation.
