I loved this tour. Our tour guide Katlyn was wonderful, she showed proper emotions for each room she took us to, and had intriguing facts and legends regarding the home, Mrs. Winchester and her employees. My only issues are 1. It isn't very handicap friendly, it had the "seven-eleven" stairs. A set of winding (seven times) short ...
The year was 1994 and I found it to be very interesting. I don't remember being shocked about the price, it was no different than going to Disneyland. My husband and I enjoyed it! We got to see beautiful San Jose, Ca., and learn a little bit of History! Of course it's strange that's what makes it The Winchester Mystery House. I bought a T-Shirt there, and been very proud to wear it!
It is NOT scary at all. The house is a charming house but it was expensive and a waste of my time. If you love scaring stuff and the thrill, this is not the place for you
I was a tour guide there for 3 months. It Sucked!!! They have to many restrictions, that don't allow the tour guide to create an interesting and fun experience. Over all its crap!!!!
TERRIBLE!! NOT worth the money at all. It's just not as interesting as I though. Watch a documentary on it instead; you'll save yourself time and money.

The house was very unique alright - lots of twists & turns and yes, very confusing but it's meant to be that way. The history is the "mystery" - the story behind it is what keeps you interested in why someone would go that extreme in building something so weird. Although I enjoyed the tour & got a few pictures with the ghostly ...
After gulping over the $103 admission for 2 adults and 3 children, we thought, "Well, it must be worth it. There are a lot of people here."
There are interesting things about the house, and odd things, and things that make you realize how truly whacked out this lady was... but what can you expect from someone absorbed with the ...
