Feeding the coy is fantastistic; they eat it out of your hand! Great places to visit right here in San Jose. Appropiate for all ages.

LOVE JFG!! I've been there many times--whenever I would visit my friend who lived there (since moved). She even had some of her wedding photos taken there--what a back drop!! Love the gardens and the koi fish, so beautiful!! Wish they would've left the bridge painted red...it had been painted brown last time I was there. Lovely place!!! :)

Cool park
By Kenny K, 06/21/07
I have been to the sister city's park in Okayama, Japan and i have to say that park is spectacular. This park, although not like the park in Japan, is a very nice and peaceful place with nice manicured gardens and a few little ponds. :-) A great place to visit.

A very typical eastern style garden. You cann't see this kind of garden in many places here at U.S. I went there with my parents and we all enjoy the garden, the pond, the fountain, and the stream. will go back there soon.
good pond with beautiful fish and ducks. kids will enjoy. good place for picnic. feeding the fish was funny and dont forget to carry quarters.
a $6 parking is expensive.

Not well-managed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/06
The park is nice and well designed but it was crowded and dirty. The people who were there that day were not respectful of park or other visitors. It is not in a good neighborhood. It was not an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/06
Me and my BF go here on dates all the time. It is very beautiful and the koy fish are always fun to look at! I take my nephew.. he loves to feed the fish. its only a quarter to feed and free to enter. It gives you a very peaceful and relaxing feeling to be there & watching children enjoy the beauty of it, makes you feel even better!

A Place To Relax.

Last 5/17/06 was not my first time visiting Japanese Friendship Garden. When I first game to America my parents took me there. It was a place that reminds me of back home. Now, 6 yrs past, I just want to visit it again. The place never failed to ease my soul and mind. I took my boyfriend and two friends of mine. They loved the place like I did when ...
