We loved Belle Gardens and it was so sad to see it go. They had the best strawberries and farm stand. It was a unique San Diego treasure and it will be missed by many.

The Best Place Ever!

Does anyone know the fate of this now-closed location? Our family enjoyed many good times there and really miss it. Great while it lasted
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/14/05
Best thing while it lasted. Bell Gardens is no longer operating.
Had a train which took you through the grounds (rather expansive...ride lasted about 20 mins). Tractor hay ride. A maze to run through. Great gardens.
Our family thank the Bell Family for supporting the Gardens.
Absolutely the best afternoon you could spend, any season! Educational, insightful, beautiful, and edible! Leave with an armful of fresh fruits and vegetables, and dried flowers. You'll get plenty of sun, fun, and exercise walking the gardens, riding the train, and experiencing an antique tractor ride! Don't miss this!
