I love this place and my son and I have been going since he was 18 monthes old. We love seeing all the animals in a wide open space and love the atmosphere. They have a great picnic area. The food is the only down side. I did not like any of the food I have eaten at the park to date.

Disappointed visitor
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/07
The park lead me to believe there were tigers and other big animals to see up close - and it was NOT true - unless you took the truck ride at 50.00. And there were no tigers at all.
I did enjoy my day stay in June 2007, but the train no longer runs and the bus or mini van whatever was not running. The park review small train was fun, and the I like all the Gorillas and the bird show. Lot of walking, which I was trying to avoid by riding the tain, which is not longer running. Was good day all in all, one of better days.

What a Disappointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/08/07
Over the years, we have been awe struck by the vast panoramic views from the Park's monorail tour which was included in the price of admission. From the monorail, guests could see the entire habitats of different continents, and the manner in which the animals from those areas coexisted in the wild. Tour guides on the monorail did a great job ...

Full day of fun and exercise

This is a great place to view animals in the wild and have your kids use up all their energy running/walking through the park - they will sleep all the way home! Lots of places/attractions to view and rest; monorail, elephant act; bird show, etc. Also has some interactive shows that are fun for all: feeding the Noorakeets and giraffes. Can be ...
I have been to the San Diego Wild Animal Park countless times since 1997. This is one of the must enriching experiences I have ever had. Because of thise trip I bought a high-end SLR camera and telephoto lens. The best time to go is in the fall or spring and get there as early as you can so you can see the animals at their most allert. They also ...
The Wild Animal Park is out in the country, so you are literally getting away from it all. It can get pretty hot in the summer, but the evenings are cooler and there is still a lot to see. One August, we went there on our anniversary and rode the monorail under a full moon. The new Lion Camp is awesome! You cannot get any closer to the ...

Loved the Wild Animal Park!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/05
We loved our trip to the Wild Animal Park. It is much more enjoyable than a zoo environment. You get much closer to the animals and you get to feed some of them which is awesome. I loved feeling like the animals were in their natural habitat. I highly recommend the Animal Park to anyone who loves animals. Take lots of film!!

Do not miss this park
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/18/05
This is not only a great place to visit (plan to spend a good part of the day), but also a great wildlife program to support. Finally you can see animals in a place with room to roam around. There are ample trails to walk around if you wish, but the main feature is the tram ride around the permiter of the main park area that takes about an hour. ...
