There was no place to sit. The local freeloaders with season passes puts their belongings on the chairs instead of renting a locker like the responsible people do. Then they run off and play. There is no place to sit down, People come by and comlain that you are sitting in their spot even though they weren't there. The management doesn't care. I'll never return.

Disappointed - won't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/08
We were there Sunday, June 29, 2008. The park is obviously old and quite run-down. Lots of old chipping paint and weeds. We got there early to try to avoid long lines. But they didn't open all the slides when the park opened so we waited in long lines even though there were not a lot of people there. The employees were helpful and friendly.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
This place is a fun filled atmoshpere with lots of cool things to do IF you know when, where and how to go and so here are a few tips:
Go in the middle of the week if possible. Probably a monday of tuesday. The crowds will be serverally less than on a weekend.
DON'T PARK. Find a remote spot on the outskirts of the park and walk into it. ...
If you like standing in line for at least 30 minutes for every single ride, then this is the place for you. If you like standing in line in the heat for approx 40 minutes for overpriced junk food, then this is the place for you. The wave pool was a 'sea' of humans - totally overflowing with people and dangerous. The river float was the ...

Now I know why they call it "soak" city.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/06
As a park it provides a decent overall design and experience, but the minute I was charged eight dollars just to park, I knew I was going to get soaked: Long lines--30/40 minutes to to get in and to get on rides; five dollars for a locker the size of a breadbox; three dollars for a diet soda or a churro, six dollars for a pizza a little larger than 1 slice in a store...and so on. With a couple of kids in tow, it mounts up real fast.
*I have a bad experience at Soak City at Chula Vista. I rode Pacific Spin and got hurt due to employee irresponsibility. I was getting in the tube, but my foot was barely in, the employee let go and hurt my feet. The employee should check all riders seated safely before release. I told her to stop but she didn’t hear me until the tube was so close ...
