Best Camping/Fishing in So Cal!I've lived here in Escondido since 1972. This lake has always been a great fishing spot for Bass, Trout and Catfish. Now that all of the trees and shrubbery have grown up around the lake - there is now plent of shade! The campground is amazing. Favorite fishin' holeThis is really a nice fishing lake. Being a man-made reservoir, the lake is quite deep in spots, there's lots of structure and coves and it's easy to either fish from shore, the handicapped accessible fishing pier or rental boat.

World-Record Bass WatersIf you want to visit one of the best city parks in the country, then Dixon Lake City Park should top your list of things to do. The entire park is keenly well maintained.
