Your right the San Diego night Zoo is not what it was, I saw the guy they replaced Zookeeper Willie with, loud and what a jerk when I asked where Willie was, he turned his head and ignored me. I saw another character in a cheezy Zookeeper outfit just talking with employees, he looked old tired and beat, I guess he works at Walmart during the day greeting people.
The zoo was very nice, we did a lot of walking until we found the train YAHOO!.

Since I am interested in zoology I get ZOONOOZ which is published by the zoo, so I already knew a lot about the zoo and that the SD Zoo is famous because its founder started the first zoological societies and trade among zoos and for bringing so many endangered animals back to the wild. I had so much respect for what it has done before getting ...

Night Zoo changes are the worst!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/09
My family has been traveling to the San Diego for over 8 years - for Night Zoo. Our children have always looked forward to seeing Zookeeper Willie, doing the hula hoop contest, and for the last two years watching the painter from Splash. This year there is no Willie, just some loud obnoxious guy they call the Doctor - and the painter is also gone. ...
I've been a Diamond Member for 7 years! It's a great deal! I take my 7 grandchildren 2-3 times a year, their ages 5 - 13 yrs. Each visit is a new experience, children love animals and never get tired of the shows. This week we are all excited to visit the Elephant Odyssey.
I LIVE IN TEXAS AND I EXPECTED MORE .THE ZOO WAS NOT AS GREAT AS EXPECTED .THE ELEPHANT ARE COOL .BUT PANDA WHERE A LET DOWN NOT GREAT SITTING.

Then as an adult my husband and I would go there too. After moving from San Diego and having children we came back several times. We now plan on coming back to the zoo with ...

I went on a trip and the main focus was the ZOO!!! only i was slightly dissapointed. They do not have penguins, cheetas, many lions, or other big cats. you have to go to the wild animal park and see world to soo the whole deal. I want to be a zoo keeper for my profession and i wanted to go here so bad. Some of the animals where pacing and ...
It is overhyped for sure! well u do get to see the panda and the sleeping koalas..but if u are on a holiday with only limited time..avoid this. This is a timekiller..with nothing great to offer. I am not saying its not a nice zoo ..but if you are travelling rather go to the beaches, go to la jolla, trek at torrey pines than come here .. ofcourse if ...
I have gone to this zoo twice before and I plan to return. I have been to many zoos and this is one of my favorites. Don't miss the place where river otters and monkeys play together. The underwater hippo exhibit is amazing, too. I loved the beautiful hilly setting and find it hard to see why anyone would complain about that!
