Mission Beach is the coolest place that i spent my childhood! I would always be here and the boardwalk was amazing! There was a rollercoaster and the beach is beautiful!! I havent been there since i was in 3rd grade and im 19 now. .but im sure its still the same!

Nice

Nice laid back atmosphere. As SoCal as it gets! I like. Friendly people, good surf. The surf shop I visited (can´t recall the name..) had great service and friendly staffing. All good!
It's hard to not enjoy the California coastline, especially in the San Diego area. However, getting to Mission Beach was extremely difficult and once there it was predictable. Typicaly shirts, hats, and sunglasses for sale, overcrowded scene, and no parking anywhere for miles. Head north or south a few miles and the scenery is much more beautiful and accessable

Such a fun place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/05/07
I stayed in San Diego for 3 months during the past summer and I must say that one of the best places for parties and random fun was Mission Beach. Any given night during the summer there could be a bonfire and anything from 10-100 people just hanging out having a good time. Pier 13 was the main location for such soirées. There was generally a lot ...

relax with some good old beach fun
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/07
i just like the feel, just sitting on the beach, becoming a regular for a week, its just nice. we always go in august and try not to pack to much in. but we do go to belmont and sail on the bay, other then that, just the beach. its definetly a family vacation. im a teenager and i really enjoyed just sitting on the beach and not doing anything before school starts. my whole family loves it and we go back every year. we rent a beach front house

LOVE IT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/07/07
Me and my girlfriend go to Mission Beach all the time. We haven't been to any other beach in San Diego and don't plan to. Its very nice and the people are nice too. We've never been there when it was crowded so I couldn't tell you too much about that. I like how they have firepits, and we had smores one night and it was great ...
a great place they do allow dogs but not till later in the afternoon so keep that in mind. easy to get too. and loads to do little pizza shops all over. a great little fun park with a roller coaster to die for. the sunset abselutley breathtaking.
How to get to Paradise? Go to San Diego, get a rental car, and become familiar with Hwy 5. From the Gas Lamp District to Mission Beach (or do LA if you want a road trip) you'll have all you could ask for. The Belmont Park has an old school roller coaster "The Big Dipper"... which made me miss the Texas Cyclone (Astroworld)... and the ...

And others - from USA. :)

Try Luigis for italian, is inexpensive an good. For breakfast try Zinzebar is just awesome. ride your bike at the bay rather than the beach boardwalk, is a lot nicer. and ...
