This site is a must-see for all San Diego tourists and locals. The views are breathtaking and the place is full of history. One of the most wonderful places in all Southern California
If you hit this place on a clear day, there aren't too many places in the world as beautiful. Well worth the small fee to get in and is a must see for visitors to San Diego. HIghly, Highly Recommend.
Situated in the Southwestern corner of San Diego, this place is incredibly scenic! We went to a point called Ocean view, where we can see the Pacific Ocean on 2 sides and the San Diego Bay and the downtown on the other. There is also the beautiful Coronado Bridge and an Airforce base, where we witnessed a fighter jet land! There was an ...
Point Loma is one of our favorite spots in San Diego and we go twice a year. So much to do in the Cabrillo Monument area - see the old and new lighthouses, visit the museum and gift shop, enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view of San Diego and the ocean, take a walk on the winding path and see the old WW2 bunker, and enjoy the constant Pacific breezes. Don't forget to visit Rosecrans Cemetery and eat at the Point Loma Seafood Restaurant.
Cabrillo National Monument and the Point Loma Lighthouse provide the BEST view of San Diego harbor. On a clear day, which is most days in this great city, you feel as though you can literally see forever. This is a good place for the experienced traveler and youngsters and there's a lot more to see than just the monument area and lighthouse. ...

The trip does not start at Cabrillo National Monument. I have a child buried at Fort Rosecrans Cemetery so that is where our trip started. It is a beautiful drive along the ocean. After the cemetery we continued on up the road. Still breath taking. We stopped at the tide pools. The kids loved getting their feet wet trying to find all the sea ...
being part of the park it is a must go since you've already paid for the entrance fee. the drive down has a nice view of the sea.
