I was here back in the 80's. Santee Lakes has changed and only improved! It is such a clean, nice quiet lovely place to be when you want to just kick back. Just another hidden neighborhood jewell that the tourists miss out on. What can I say?

Great RV facilities. Many sites on the lake. Small lakes but well stocked. Good fishing for several species at different times of the year. Good facilities with restrooms located near the playgrounds and in the RV areas. Great birding area especially during the winter months. Plan on going back the end of march.

Great sunday family spot

Great place to have a family picnic. A tranquil oasis conveintly nestled in Santee. Close to stores so you can easily fill your picnic basket. Paddle boats give you the chance to check out the wildlife in the marshy islands. Could use a playground for the little ones.
