Sometimes, one steps into a cafe and feels a little out of place; maybe the prices are too pricey, the people a little to hip to serve just anyone. Gelato Vero (in Mission Hills), on the other hand, is consistantly friendly and inviting. One of the workers will even juggle a certain unmentioned food for you if he's feeling up for it. ...
The outdoor seats are a great place to enjoy the gelato (I recommend the Giandua, the chocolate hazelnut and espresso), along with a nice cup of coffee. Inside is a bit cramped, but cozy, with artsy photos and paintings on the wall. They also have a roomy upstairs seating area too. The gelato is rich and creamy, no artificial flavors, ever! nice dessert after having spicy thai food next door at Saffron.
