Not the best sushi in town, but pretty good for a buffet sushi place. Then to make things even better, you have multiple choices for sweets at the end of the meal. I would recommend trying at least once.

An amazing array and selection of sushi- raw, veggies, meat anything you want.
Also lots of seafood and meat entrees, fried rice and noodles, deep fried tempura items, and an amazing dessert selection.
There's something for everyone, but they still manage to stick with a very Japanese theme which is great.

Onami is one of my favorite restaurants. Not only does the food taste wonderful, but it is also a feast for the eyes. I love the display of the food, and the abundance. Onami has been consistently pleasing us for years. There is always enough variety to delight everyone in the group. Although there have been changes in the past couple of years in menu items, decor and maybe even ownership (?), we have found ample variety to please our major sushi desires!

While in Carlsbad mall I stumbled across O-nami sushi. Skeptical about all you can eat sushi in a mall I tried it. I was very pleased with the sushi's freshness and authenticity. It closely resembles resturant style sushi but in unlimited quanities. As far as the hot food goes I haven't had the chance to evaluate it yet, but in keeping with the standard set I shouldn't be disappointed.

We have been patronizing this restaurant for five years on an average of once every two weeks when we are in California and introducing many friends to this place.
