The service was great and the people were so friendly! Add to that some really fresh sushi and you've got a great place to go that is not overpriced!

  • Great Mom & Pop Japanese
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/06
I've been going to Ogata for many years and they have been consistant in that time. The fish is not the highest grade like some other fancy sushi resturants in this area but the value is great. 15 piece dinner of 8 sushi & 2 rolls (california & tuna) includes salad and soup for $12. The service is lightning fast. Sit down and your food is in front of you in 5-8 min. almost every time. Great service.

  • Good time, Good deal!

I like this place because you can get great sushi and you don't have to go broke. For around $9 you get a salad, a soup, rice, sushi, a drink, and teriaki chicken/salmon, or shrimp or deluxe sushi plate. Saki bomb is big beer and saki flask for $7 I think.

Ogata is delicious. It's way cheap, the people are super nice and personable and learn your name in no time. I almost always order the lunch special #1 which is chicken teriaki, california roll, rice, a salad thats way tasty, miso soup, and a free (non refillable) soda. Including a good tip, its about 7 bucks. SO TASTY.
