We love this restaurant. The food is spectacular and the service and ambiance is wonderful! We live in Arizona and feel that you can't find anything better or even comparable than Casa de Pico, not even in all of AZ. We were concerned after we heard that they were moving out of Old Town,San Diego that business wouldn't be the same for ...

My wife found Casa de Pico a year +or- a few weeks after it's original opening in Old Town. We live in Arizona and travel to San Diego 5 to 10 times a year, primarially for tne Casa de Pico/Bazaar del Mundo/Casa Bandeni/Casa el Nepal, experience. The climate, public transportation and a chance to relax adds to the experience. However, without ...

Food is terrific!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/30/06
We had drinks and appetizers on the front patio, dinner inside, and dessert in the bar. Wonderful decor, friendly & helpful staff, loved the huge shrimp and avocado cheese crisp (took 1/2 of it home to enjoy again). Recommend it highly; you won't be disappointed. Great value!

Hair in food

This was the second time I dined at this location. I had the same shrimp salad. First time it was good second time shrimp was over cooked. My wife's order had human hair that she pulled from half way down her throat. This information was brought to the attention of our waiter and they replaced the meals. I would have expected to see a ...

New location but even beter than before!

How this restaurant took perfection and made it better is a happy mystery. Casa de Pico moved to Grossmont Centre in late August, 2005 into a bigger place with patio dining as well as indoor dining, full, spacious bar and covered, heated outdoor bar dining. It is so colourful that one can't stop looking around. Many familiar faces are there ...

Family Favorite for over 20 years
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/05
I used to go to Casa de Pico as a child with my parents. My parents never visited San Diego with out a stop at Casa de Pico for some fresh made tortillas and wonderful Mexican food. Just last April I took my 3 boys for the first time. My husband was amazed at how great the food and service was. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the weather. We ...

There is going to be a line, but it moves fast. Its worth the wait. Eat some fresh tortillas in line but save room for some great food. Its outdoor. Parking could be a problem, but don't let that stand in your way.
