Once this was one of my favorite places to eat and a frequent choice for special occasions. It has a pleasant ambiance with saltwater aquariums and a fun gift shop to pass the time, as there is often a wait for a table.

Prefer their fish selection over Red Lobster's any day. (Refers to the restaurant at Restaurant Row in San Marcos only; I haven't been to any others yet.) Service has been excellent and very attentive so far.

We have been going to Fish House Vera Cruz for over 15 years and never been disappointed. My son just graduated college out-of-state and the first place he wanted to go was Fish House for the clam chowder!

The large dining area is filled with huge aquariums, old fishing poles hung from the rafters, and a few mounted fish. One can get a close up view of the kitchen grills through windows. I love this place, the fish is cooked to perfection. They have very competative prices. Wonderfull crusty bread, great side dishes. I would recommend this place to everyone.
