Great ride, great hiking.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/07
What I liked: It's a wonderful ride to the top, and the tram itself is a rare treat (if I recall correctly, there are only three of these rotating-floor trams in the world, and this is one of the steepest in the world). And the whoop-de-doos over the cable towers border on a thrill ride. And then once you get to the top, the views are ...

Heavenly

My daughter and I have a season's pass, we visit at least 2 times a week in the summer and have been up in the winter.
I recommend it to anyone and everyone. The trip up is through amazing rock formations. One truly feels the magic of the mountain.
The meadow is one of our favorite places. We walk, we read and bring snacks and spend about 4 hours there each time. Soon we'll be up again to actually do some hiking. Jackie Smith

The Best View in Town
By azlivinggood, 02/17/07
We were there about 9 and they jammed too many into the car. I would have rather waited for the next one with less people. We had lots of noisy young people who made it difficult to hear the narration being played. I had to yell QUIET PLEASE twice which the attendant should have done. Would definitely go back.
First, let me say that the low marks are mainly due to the smell outside both the lower AND the upper lodges. When I was there this last summer, ticketing agent said it was a sewage problem exacerbated by the heat. But when I was there in January, the smell was as bad if not worse. What I mean is: worse than the worst outhouse BY FAR! Trust me ...

Must visit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/07
This is a place you must visit if you go to Palm Springs. The people are very friendly and the ride up and down was wonderful. It is a lovely place if you are into photography.
The food was below par and I would recommend that you carry your own food.

Don't pop for the extra meal
By cyndyc, 01/02/07
The tram ride is excellent, especially if you go at night, but don't add on the meal at the Cafe...the worst food we've ever had. They aren't kidding when they say make sure to wear a warm jacket.

Great side trip
By Steffy, 11/13/06
This was a great side trip with panoramic views. Bring your camera. The ride up in the tram was exciting. The hiking trails were relatively easy and interesting. This is a great place to have a picnic or to eat at the snack bar/restaurant at the top.
Beautifull view of the city, Higly recommended, it's a must if you are visiting Palm Springs. snow was great with beautiful sight and wildlife everywhere.
