Not the Blue Guitar anymore
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/08
My husband and I loved the Blue Guitar and would always stop by when we were in town. At the end of August we were in the area and decided to visit the Blue Guitar. It is now a gay bar....repeat....gay bar. The sign for the Blue Guitar is still outside, so it was VERY misleading. They should take the sign down!! It is sad that the Blue Guitar is gone.

change your club name!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/11/08
What happened to the blues music? Last visit was disappointing since the club played soul. Not that I don't like soul. It just when you travel over 60 miles to hear the blues and there isn't any, it makes you want to travel to orange county instead.

Sorry
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/07
Where'd the "blues" go? Used to love this place but the new "front man" just doesn't live up to Blue Guitar's reputation. We were used to professional, great vocalists and music.....sorry.
We had been to the Blue Guitar before when Kal and Laurie owned it, but have not been there for a few years. We finally went back a couple of weeks ago and, wow, what a difference!!! The atmosphere was superb and the music there was so much fun!!! Everyone was having a such a great time that it was hard not to get caught up in the fun. And when we were leaving the owner was actually there and thanked us for coming. Well worth a visit.
I've been going to the Blue Guitar since the first owner had it (a Blues Musician). And yes, it was great! However, he sold it to a different owner who in turn sold it to another owner (present owners). I've come to know the new owners personally, and I know the club was not making it on Blues alone, so they had to mix it up. Blues is ...

NEW OWNERS - AWFUL MUSIC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/07
Went in July, 2007 - what a disappointment! New owners, apparently put some $$ into a new bar, tables, chairs - but forgot to keep the great music! No longer a real "blues" club, the musicians are little more than regular "bar band locals". Sadly, the world class blues musicians from the past 6 or 7 years are gone. A Good ...

Best Blues Club I've Seen!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/18/06
I have visited the Blue Guitar three times and all three times were extremely enjoyable. The first time I watched Kal's band with a friend of mine. The band grooved so well that everyone's head (including employees) was bobbing to the rythm all night - you couldn't help it! I visited two other times for the club's "pro open ...

Finis Tasby the Blues man makes a special appearance
What more could I say?? September 24th 2005 We saw a kick ass blues band and they welcomed a great blues man on stage to jam with them. Finis Tasby sounded superb and Bob the guitarist jammed effortlessly. The wild cat on keyboard really held them tight on his blues solos and what a great voice. I am sorry I don't know the name of this band but ...
