Ginger is amazing! And she IS the restaurant! Her greeting, by name, sets the mood as she escorts you to your table. Once seated the attention to detail and by the staff if excellent. The only thing better is the food! Consistently top notch! Tony is our favorite waiter, in fact, our ONLY waiter! Love his attention and expertise! Great all around and a must for someone looking for a great place to eat!

A great dinner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/07
Food was excellent...presentation was superb. Service was beyond both. Duck was spectacular, as was the shrimp and scallop dish. I had the Ahi Tuna...was not served warm (as advertised), which led to my less than superior review. That said, it was a wonderful restaurant, with great service...and a nice ambience.

"THE BEST"
By Mark D, 07/01/07
Our reservation was made 1 hour prior to arrival. Ginger greeted me by name and we were seated at the # 1 table (front of restrauant.)I could not believe our plates were covered with "Welcome Mark" making it a nice touch. I was however with a V.I.P from Los Angeles who is a regular. The food and service was outstanding. When we were ...

On Par With Las Vegas...better value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/07
Eating at the Shame of the Moon for the first time over Memorial Day weekend was an excellent experience. Being from Las Vegas one never truly knows what to expect from new restaurants. Shame on the Moon was as good or better than many of the Strip restaurants, and best of all, was a better value for the money. The food was outstanding, the ...

Very good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/07
The food was very, very good. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The service was so-so: the waiter was slow, confused about who ordered what, and eager for many of his tables to leave (he would start collecting salt and pepper shakers while people were still finishing their dining!). Maybe he was having a bad day.

Very welcoming, excellent value and ambiance. The food is very reasonably priced and beautifully cooked. The reputation is very, very well deserved. Ginger, the hostess, is particularly worthy of a mention

One of our favorites

We have a 2nd home in the desert and frequent Shame on the Moon quite often. It is only about 5 minutes from our house, and it has become a local favorite. They even had a placecard with our name on it on the table the last time we were there.

Shame on you if you don't eat there!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/08/06
Very nice, traditional setting. Ginger is always warm and gracious. Food is very good, service as great as well. The decor is from the past, but just our style. A reservation is a good idea, because this restaurant is so very popular - especially during the high season. We look forward to eating there every time we visit the desert (and we'll be there again soon). It has become a tradition with us, and we love it!
