  • We like it!

We're here in Palm Springs for the winter and have enjoyed the Uptown Grill a lot. The food is great, the extras are a treat and the service and atmosphere is extremely comfortable. It's our favorite place to eat out in Palm Springs.

  • you'd better think twice
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/06
For a birthday dinner recently, where we had dropped off a cake earlier in the day, we were 15 late for the reservation. Not only did they not seat us, they closed the restaurant early! We asked for our cake back, and they had opened it and peeked inside!

Prior visit was pricey for mediocre food. Save your $ and try the other restaurants in town.

    A local.

  • Can't wait to visit.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/11/06
Even year when I visit California I make it a point to visit Uptown Grill. Everyone is extremely friendly and I love going there. When home in Pennsylvania, I always mention the restaurant to my customers at my place of employment.

If you arrive with the right attitude you can have as much fun here as you can at Sr. Frogs. Great place to enjoy a meal, some drinks, people watching & piano. Palm Springs
    is lucky.

  • Save your money for a good meal elsewhere

Menu has no direction; they can't decide if they want to be Carribbean, Californian, Pan-Asian, Italian or French and are trying to develop too many styles of food for one menu.

Old school items like orange roughy was one special the evening we went. Everything we ordered was very oversauced. Sauces are an accoutrement to enhance flavors of ...

  • Wonderful Experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/05
The building is not pretentious at all. However, once inside, you will enjoy the ambiance.

We took advantage of their half price summer special. We enjoyed the small portion of appetizers offered at no cost. We ordered their house Chardonnay and it was just fine.

We ordered the pork roast and blackened sole. Both entrees were served ...

  • Outstanding!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/05
I just moved to the Palm Springs area from San Francisco. I searched high and low for a restaurant that matched the calibur of many of the restaurants in the Bay area. Well I found one!! After several visits I found the food, service & entertainment to be always on target and of great value. It makes me feel I am back in my old home of San Fran or ...

  • NOT A GOOD PLACE TO GO
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/05
NOTHING from the Valet to the service to the food it's not a place I'd ever go back to again. Really wish I had read the other reports and now I see why. I went to the other one in Rancho Mirage Left Bank and was told why, that new owner is not customer orinted and that sure is true. I have to say that Uptown Grill has to be the worst place ...

  • Truely an "Oasis" of Quality
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/05
A place of class and distinction. No other like it in the Coachella Valley. A friendly, stable and well trained staff. I bring and reccommend Uptown Grill to everyone. I totally disagree with the previous reviews they sound a bit fishy to me and totally inaccurate, otherwise the place would not be always busy and reservations required. I have never ...
