You definately do not want to go on this kind of trip on a windy day. It made me very sick and it was the worst time I had in my life. We had the whole family on the boat and none of us enjoyed any part of the trip.

I really enjoyed whale watching. I went in February and we saw several gray whales migrating. It didn't cost that much, and it was long, but if you have the time, go. If you're only in the area for a short time, I would recommend going to the aquarium and other attractions first, but i live here so I wanted to go. We also saw a lot of dolphins. it was a great experience!

The day we went out was the last week in June 2007.It was very windy so the wave were pretty big. Likes:
- we did see some whales and skipper/captain made efforts to come close to any activity in water
- be prepared to see a lot of dolphins

Dislikes:
- The boat was an old one and very dirty from inside
- The boat skipper was unfriendly and at times rude to passengers

I would suggest looking out for other whale watching tour operators before you decide for this one

I didn't think I would have fun going whale watching, but I was proven wrong. The crew was knowledgeble and pleasant. We saw whales and dolphins. Got great pics. There were plenty of families with kids having a good time too.
