This is probably the best art museum in L.A. There is always somenew exhibition going on and doesn't rely so much on an existing supply like the Getty.

You can't see it all in one day. There's something for everyone.
I believe the 2nd Tuesday of each month is free.

LACMA is fantastic! I like the collection of art they have and it is cheap to visit, great value. A GREAT TIME TO VISIT IS DURING THE WEEK BECAUSE THERE IS LESS TRAFIC. You could also sit and have caffe and lunch in their yard

I do like the place of the seenary ancient building other interesting atractive events, and other archaeology senario of the city.

The permanent exabitions are great. There is something for everyone: contemporary art, furniture, Renaissance, Japanese art, etc. This museum always has wonderful temporary exhibitions too. Such as Ansel Adams, Van Gogh, and King Tut.
