Don't get me wrong - Mission San Juan Capistrano is absolutely beautiful. I think it would be next to impossible for the most well-known mission in California to *not* seem touristy. Even so, I couldn't help feeling a bit dirty paying the $6.00 required admission (other missions work on donations) only to stand around with a couple hundred other people.
