Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful with a very interesting history.
I lived in No. 17 and I drove the chancellor of the university about as I attended the graduate school and later the law school.

Los Angeles in the Gilded Age

A walk down Chester Place, in the West Adams section of Los Angeles, certainly gives one a great sense and experience of Old L.A., a glimpse back in time to a much more refined and genteel period before the glitz and glamour of Hollywood started taking over. These grand homes, especially the Doheny mansion, are magnificent to behold!
