I was there on January 12, 2008. It is a beautiful place. The gardens were so nice. The next time I go back I plan to take picnic lunch. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't go into the house. I believe that this would have made the trip to the estate so much better. I also think there needs to be more info. about the house. Thanks for a great trip to LA. Karen and Carl Henry
This massive mansion is a thrill to tour, which I have done three times on different occasions. It's great fun to imagine living in such grandeur and explore the extensive floors.

It was awsome. I am going back in November when they are going to open the Mansion for the public to walk though. I can't wait.

On one trip I even found a slightly open door and walked the entire mansion before someone seeing me and escorting me out. Shhhhhh. Don't tell. It's phenomenal. I never feel as truly tranquil anywhere as I did at the top of this ...

Childhood Memories

I grew up having famliy picnics at teh mansion. At that time all the doors were locked, but the waterfalls and ponds were all in working condiction. The grounds are beautiful.. I even appreciated them as a child! We slid down the huge hills as kids..it's a lost treasure, that I rarely tell people about. Selfish I guess...best kept secret! Out of towners woudl enhoy, and locals should should enjoy it while they still can.

Stumbled across Greystone Mansion - Glad We Did!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/11/04
"Take a few minutes to see how the 'other half' lives." The 80- year old mansion is very well maintained; annual city events take place inside. Though not open to the public, kindly security guards allowed us to peak in the accessible windows as they told us the lenghty list of movies filmed therein. The grounds are beautifully ...
