This has to be the one of the greatest experiences you can have with your kids. I run a group home for the abandoned and poor kids of southern idaho, we came down for this unbelievable experience cause we heard about it on the radio, all my kids came out with tears in their eyes. It is so amazing to see how hands on activities can change a young ones mind. I recommend it for anyone with kids and without as well.

Visit in 2002

Great for an outing with a child 12 or under. I took my son when he was 9, we had a good time with all the science experiments. It's a good place to bond and share. Children over 12 or adults without children would definately be bored.

Awesome!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/17/07
We took our grandchildren on vacation and planned this outing. We thought they would enjoy for several hours. Much to our surprise we spent the entire day there. Exceptional value on price. Both Grandchildren were of the age where they could do all the hands on - which is everything - Our grandson still talks about his experience there.
I was a tourist, and it seemed like the museum was more geared for members, which of course just passing by and stopping in, one would never know that. Lot's of fun things for members only.
In general the place was O.K.. way to high priced for the admission, I felt a bit robbed, since we had taken about 8 kids with us. THe kids were bored very quickly.
Sorry, but I would not recommend this place to anyone. Londa Alexander

Great family activity
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/05
- very interesting and educational hands-on exibits - rotating exibits always provide something new and exiting (eg. science of snow, wildlife demonstrations, etc). - many things to see and do
the only downside that I can think of is that the food selection is pretty bad with the only options being fast food franchises Taco Bell & Pizza Hut

Higher than expected non-operational exhibits
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/05
This is an average-sized museum with plenty of exhibits but, at the time of my visit, had a significant number of non-operational exhibits which was quite disappointing. Being in California there is a section with earthquake exhibits including an earthquake simulator. There's also a section for very young children. There is a charge for parking.

One of OC's BEST Kept Secrets!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/05
Great place for all ages! The center has more than 120 exhibits..all hands-on and FUN! Virtual Volleyball is my favorite..but you can also lie on a bed of real nails, make waves in a wave tank, see a geyser erupt and watch a 3D laser show. If you're visiting in April, be sure to check out BUBBLEFEST which is amazing. We like to visit in the ...
