The cycling/rollerblading path in Santa Monica/Venice is the best, probably in all the world. (I'm not counting the cycling path that continues on Washington and goes down to Hermosa, Redondo, etc.) It's approx 9 miles of smooth concrete, designed with cyclists and skaters in mind. This is the perfect place to hang out for a day: Walk down the promenade, check out the pier, drink a protein smoothie and round off the day by watching the exceptional sunset.

great place to spend a summer eve. even though we got there little late pecific park and beach is really great. cool place for family fun. rides are not so great but kids will like them.
