Not What I Thought It Would BeMaybe my expectations were too high...maybe it was the particular show that we saw (I think it was called Its a Musical World), but it was awful. I had heard so much about the theater, so I talked a friend and her 5 year old to go with me. Terrific! A Must See!A truly unique experience! My husband, daughter & I were visiting from NY & decided to visit the theater...It was a great show! Our 21 month old loved that the puppets come right up to you...but I'm not sure who enjoyed it more- Our daughter or us!!! :)Definetly worth a visit.2 of 2 Yahoo! made me feel like a kid againi just got back from the theater and i must admit, i thought it was a great idea for the kids, but i ended up enjoying it more then them!!!! with it's "old time" feel, the bob baker marionette theater is one of los angeles' true hidden treasures. i can't wait for the next chance i get to go and see a show at this magical place.3 of 3 Yahoo! Don't miss this cultural treasure!!The show was excellent! Kids sit on the floor, and the puppets dance right up to them. After the show, the audience is invited to eat icecream in a room next to the theater. There you can talk to the performers and ask them questions about the puppets, etc. Bob Baker himself was there making another puppet.
