I would say this is the one thing you shouldn't miss while in LA
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/01/05
I really enjoyed going to Mann's. We spent the extra money and did a tour of the inside which was very interesting. I really enjoyed walking around and looking at the foot and handprints of the stars. The only bad thing was that it was very crowded and sometimes people would be standing on the footprints that I wanted to take a picture of.

Heaven for a few bucks
By ClodVanTam, 03/02/08
Hanging around outside the theater is one of the best free experiences you can have in Hollywood. Get your photo taken with a Captain Jack Sparrow look-a-like for a few dollars! The impersonators generally don't pose for free. I got my photo taken with a Homer Simpson!
If you can get through the crowd, take the time to put your hands or ...

Mann's Chinese Theatre
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 11/23/04
It was the most exciting thing standing in from of Mann's where the most famous stars of years ago and today have stood and signed there names in cement. My hands fit perfectly in Marilyn Monroe's handprints which was so cool because she is my favorite moviestar. It is almost spooky visiting there and I would absolutely recommend it as a place not to miss while you are in LA.

Just go see
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/22/05
It's a lot smaller in person. T.V. and panoramic photos really help give that great Hollywood image. We didn't go in, we really weren't interested. The foot and handprints were nice to see. I didn't like the random Mickey Mouse and Elmo that were hanging around. Elmo almost got in fight with my boyfriend! Go eat at Kung Pao Kitty a couple blocks east. Honestly the greatest Chinese food I've ever had!!!!!

I love L.A.
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/19/05
I stayed within walking distance of this famous landmark. Hollywood Blvd. on a Saturday night is definitely worth seeing-- what a trip! Finally went to the famous Mann's Chinese Theatre, expecting it to be rundown and gaudy. It was a large, beautiful theatre, tasteful Asian decor and comfy rocking seats. I love L.A.!

Take a photo and move on...
By chua_herbert, 09/13/06
Mann's Chinese Theatre is undoubtedly the Hollywood icon, graced by famous and legendary stars ever since Tinsel Town becomes synonymous with movie-making. Take a photo of yourself comparing the size of your hands and feet to the hands and foot prints of these stars (including Donald Duck) which were immortalized in the grounds outside the theatre. Then move on to the Kodak Theatre...

Must See
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 08/17/07
The Chinese Theatre is a MUST see when in Hollywood,Ca. Park the car and walk along the 6800 and 6900 block of Hollywood Blvd. Lots of stars of famous celeberties along these blocks....the walk could run as long as a mile and this was the best, along with the Theatre.

It was great to see the foot and hand marks of celeberties, but it was way too crowded. And actually...we got kicked out becuase they were about to start filming a movie.

For no charge to look at the handprints outside, it's excellent value. Don't plan on spending much time here, though, unless you're going to the movies. There is some good upscale shopping and restaurantage nearby.
