no stars at all!? - chrstn98? - Today I wish I could give no stars. My sister, mother and brother in law went out for the 3 hour friday night ride. My sister is an experienced rider and Ive ridden a few times. The horses were obviously tired and didn't want to do the walk. They kept stopping and the guide would whip them and tell us they were ...
If you have at least 2 hours in your L.A. tourist schedule, this one hour ride will be the one that you'll most remember in your visit to L.A. or anywhere. The ranch, trail, the scenery, the ride... the entire experience is surreal! In the midst and on top of the L.A. Area, you will not believe that something like this exist. It's like ...

Sad, very sad...

I was really looking forward to this ride... My wife and I took a ride with a group and were shocked to see horses rolling with their saddles on then when they did not want to get up they threw rocks at them.
The horses go out when it is really hot and feel like they are going to collapse. The guides are not very safe or professional.
I hope I can try this again with my wife. It took a lot for me to go in the first place...

It's a magical experience

The horses are well broke and they seem to look forward to their evening adventure. The scenery is beautiful. I'm riding past the Hollywood sign, just like Bette Davis, Douglas Fairbanks and Charlie Chaplin did every weekend as they chose the perfect place for a picnic. I can feel the history.
I haven't been horse back riding since I was 8 years old. All of us had a great time. Nice view and friendly people working at the Ranch. Two of the guides showed me how to tell the horse where to go which I put into play when Tonto got a little spooked and bucked up. I kept my calm and Tonto did too. Horses have a mind of their own and you ...

Felst rushed and was treated bad.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/05/05
My sister visited me from Pennsylvania and I thought this would be a fun thing to take her on. The horses were totally out of control, the "tour" was having the horses RUN to Burbank and RUN back. One of the horses rubbed me up against a cement wall, ripping my jeans and causeing my knee to bleed, not even a band-aid was offered to me. Oh ...
this was a great early eve activity! perfect for dinner to a mexican restaurant then back at sunset.a great activity with a dat or a favorite group of friends.
I have never regreted to choose Hollywood than other. It is excellent, fantastic and Marvelous. My hubby and myself enjoyed it so much. I will recommend to my friend and surely we will come back again.

A Fun Ride
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
Action, Adventure & Travel - I highly recommend the moonlight ride. You ride horses at sunset over the mountain to a Mexican restaurant and back by moonlight. Don't worry the horses know the way.
