Something for Everyone!

This historic pier fell on hard times, but in recent years, the City of Santa Monica has brought this venue back to life. The old gymnastic equipment got a face lift, the hotels along the beach are first rate, and the overall atmosphere is just plain fun. Standing over the water at sunset or sunrise, fishing with the locals, chess along the sand, ...

I thought this place was amazing. The ocean was amazing since I am from Minnesota, I have never seen it and I got to first experience it with Sam (whom I love)... but it was worth the 3.00 it costed to park!! The birds are a con because i don't like them... but other than that... its wonderful.

Lovely and lots of fun

The pier was lovely, though they could do with a better choice of food. The ferris wheel was a great experience, though you do have to queue for a very long time to get on there. The bathrooms were probably the only drawback. Very dirty and in need of a good clean. Will definitely visit there again next I am in LA.

An awsome place to be!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 12/27/07
My family was bored so we paced our van up and headed for the pier. Awsome place, love the roller coaster and the sea dragon also the scrambler. Food is good and neat. Nice service and hospitality. I definetly reccomand this to anyone.
We came at night ... just looked fabulous driving up with the lights and the atmosphere. Rides were moderatly priced. Ferris Wheel is a must! Good restaurants in on the pier.

great visit
By South Carolina Tourist, 07/23/07
Fun to look around and people watch. Games and rides if you’re interested. A great place to walk along the beach, foot showers –always a plus when traveling. The beach is nice but the water is too cold for my southern style. You have to pay for parking but plenty to do for free if you want to walk around or do the beach thing.

I love to take my dog and walk up and down the pier, then sit for a spell and people watch. Such a diverse group of people gathered here. I love the bubble man.I also love the artists hanging around.
