I thought this place was amazing. The ocean was amazing since I am from Minnesota, I have never seen it and I got to first experience it with Sam (whom I love)... but it was worth the 3.00 it costed to park!! The birds are a con because i don't like them... but other than that... its wonderful.

This historic pier fell on hard times, but in recent years, the City of Santa Monica has brought this venue back to life. The old gymnastic equipment got a face lift, the hotels along the beach are first rate, and the overall atmosphere is just plain fun. the beach is beautiful first of all! great place for a date. you can play games ride rides, eat, and go on the beach. the ferris wheel at night is so romantic because its all lit up! two thumbs up!!

this is my second year in a row i came to santa monica with my girlfriend.. it gets better every year for me... this is the most beautiful place i have ever been,,,,the beach is awesome,,,,hotels are good...shopping.. everything is close by..I am looking forward to my next trip to santa monica....

I spent 10 days traveling through southern California and besides whale watching, Santa Monica Pier was definately the best part of my trip. We came at night ... just looked fabulous driving up with the lights and the atmosphere. Rides were moderatly priced. Ferris Wheel is a must! Good restaurants in on the pier.

I had seen this pier in movies for so many years that when I actually saw it in person it made every movie come to life!!! It is such a great place to visit, the excitement, the scenery, the beautiful beach. I think the ambiance of the whole area is worth seeing at least once in a lifetime.
