La Mascota also has some of the best tamales in town!

I've been driving to La Mascota (from the SF valley) for tamales for 6 years now. The guys at the Gas co. Hollywood base rave for them and within minutes , are gone . I order 7-10 doezen per buy and the cheese , chicken and pork tamales all go. The texture of the tamale is perfectly cooked down to a wonderful masa sensation and the chile is simmered close to grandmas style .

This bakery has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. My Mom and Dad would make the trip to LA from West Covina to buy their Pan Dulce and tamales. It is easily found off the 5 frwy of 60 frwy on Whittier Blvd. Although they have grown over the years in terms of the size of the bakery, they have not changed anything in their recipes. can relive my childhood memories through their good products.

My family have been La Mascota fans for MANY years. Not only is the pan dulce the best I have ever tasted but the tamales are beyond compare! We travel fron the South Bay whenever we get a craving.

The tamales at La Mascota are on my top two list, second only to the ones my family makes every Thanksgiving. Although I don't work anywhere near there anymore, I'll happily make the 15 mile drive through lA traffic when I have a craving. And you can't get a better deal, at a buck a piece!

My family has been purchasing La Mascota tamales for the last 40+ years. My children are in their 20's and when asked where they want their tamales from the answer is definetly "la mascota-of course". I refer EVERYONE I know from co-workers to in-laws to friends. Their atole is great too!

Courtesy and fast service. Tamales always fresh. Best Tamales I have ever had. I get at 4am and drive over 30 miles for their tamales.

I thought the bakery was very clean .The displays were very appealing .The tamales were excelent .The breads tasted homemade
not like the Mexican breads you find in many stores today.To my surprise i tried their pumpkin pies and they were excelent too.every one thought i baked it my self.Try them you'll love them.

I absolutely love La Mascota Bakery. The food is great! They have the best french rolls and tamales around I get them for my family for every holiday it wouldn't be the same with out them.
