TERRIBLE ROUND AT SKYLINKS GCI had the worst golf experience today Oct 3, 2009 at Skylinks. My round lasted around 6 hours because they stacked 5 and 6 players. I have never experienced this kind of play except in the low class category golf course. I like the golf course, the practice facility - bu the course management is very poor. Not that greatLong Beach/American golf closed this course several years ago to redo. Now the fees are much higher and the course is still flat, now with no mature trees. They put in water, and there is a tremendous number of pond size pools if it rains. Greens are interesting and undulated. Newly renivated Skylinks at Long Beach4 1/2 To 5 Hour rounds. Best days to play are mon,tue,wedsdays. Resterrant not open yet, should open mid month of jan. Bent grass greens and burmuda ruff/fairways. Standerd rates are $41 weekday $49 weekend walking, $12.50 per person for a cart, $6.50 for a pull cart.
