This place has the best corned beef / pastrami in the area. Located in a desolate part of LA, you wouldn't stumble across this place on your own. Their fries are spectacular as well. Just an all around enjoybable experience.

This is another L.A tradition and right of the metro line. You might want to take it, as Langer

The best Jewish taste of all, and more
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/26/06
I started coming here over 50 years ago. Tried many other delis, but none compare. Everything is good, but my favorites are: (1) the chopped liver has an exquisite fine-grainy consistency and a slightly sweet taste. Like the 2nd Avenue Deli in Manhattan, which I believe is now closed. (2) The pastrami is without fat (believe it or not) and has ...

Pastrami Heaven!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/03/05
My friends and family have enjoyed Langer's for decades. We have tried other delis all over the LA area (when forced to) and always choose Langer's afterwards.
One great treat: taking those great sandwiches to Dodger Stadium and ripping open the wrapper and driving the crowd wild with envy.
Last week, a dear friend shipped us 2# of pastrami and a half-loaf of rye...finally a good sandwich on the San Francisco Peninsula.

Best Pastrami
By bell, 06/04/05
Took the Red Line Metro Rail to Mc Arthur Park, Langers is 1/2 block away. Getting there is easy, the neighborhood is bad. Dont wander around. Langer's is a Los Angeles icon with the best pastrami and Jewish food this side of NY. Service is prompt and friendly. Despite the area, many suits and VIPs frequent this place. You should have a knish. I had the pastrami french dip. mmmmmmmmm.

The best pastrami in l.a.--hands down. Service is good, parking up the street, and I like to people watch here. Saw the mayor last time I was here, munching on a brisket.

Wonderful!

Get the pastrami on rye with Russian dressing and cole slaw (on the sandwich). This is a classic favorite!
