From nearly any concievable angle, if one looks west you can see the sparkling blue waters. Awesome AcademicsUCSD is more a school for research than anything else. If you are looking for fun and games, UCSD might disappoint you a little.
Distinguished faculty, connections to prestigious research institutions like Scripps and Salk present excellent research opportunities.
